I was at Jurong East library today and I was listening to my favourite radio station, radio 1003, while trying to study.... and they decided to talk about people with funny names.

So i tried to be funny and i called in. It got thru. And i said in chinese, my name is Anne Lim.... It's the brand of a certain milk. The 2 DJs laughed like mad. Then the guy DJ, Jian Wen, asked me, "Are you married?"

Of course, I said no. He said, "Oh no..... you'll be left on the shelf....." And I just laughed like mad in the library. Super funny. And he said later,"No lah, maybe a guy who like you will say to you one day: I want to drink Anlene milk." And I just went crazy and laughed again. They also asked me, "When you hear the advertisement on TV, do you think that they are calling you?"

Luckily, I chose to sit at a table facing a pillar so I didn't see anyone staring at me. haha, but halfway thru their show, Jian Wen suddenly said, "Anlene will not be left on the shelf, as long as there's a discount."

Haha, their show super funny.... they like to say lame jokes. It's at 10am to 2pm on weekdays, so if you're free, do tune in to them. Anyway, here's 2 really funny names: Robert Chai (in chinese, lo bo cai, carrot vegetable) and Monica Chng (in chinese, mo ni ka chng, touch your backside).... HAHA!! totally peng.

On Wednesday, as usual, I was listening to Radio 1003 at home, while trying to study once again. They have been giving away lots of movie tickets, cash, prizes, and mini-concert tickets organised by them. I've been trying my luck, and I managed to receive two tickets to Wu JiaHao's mini-concert. Probably you've never heard of him, neither have I, but he's the guy who sang 'zi lang zi pua' in hokkien ('yi ren yi ban' in chinese).... And I'm going with dear Ah Rui on Monday! =)

They also have this Radio version of this story called Dong Jing Tie Ta zhi Lao Ma Yu Wo (Tokyo Towers, Mum and I) and it's super touching. It's about a boy, who have neglected his mum for many years, before he realised it. Really teaches us not to take things for granted and people for granted.

Prices have been rising non-stop recently, especially food. If you are already complaining, think about those third-world countries. They hardly have any money to feed themselves and starvation is on the rise!!

It's a UN world food program to help end hunger. All you gotta do is choose the right meaning for a word. Each word you get correct, the sponsors will donate 20 grains of rice to the poor!

today, i tried Mac's new item, Milo Mcflurry..... and guess what.....

IT

SUCKS!!

Seriously. damn waste money some more.... costs $2.70!! 70 cents more than Oreo Mcflurry. please dun be stupid and go and try the Milo Mcflurry. the oreo one is 100000000000000000000000(infinity) times better than the milo one.
the milo mcflurry tastes too sweet.... looks horrible..... nothing like the picture at all....


the real milo mcflurry looks pale. ok, can't find a pic of the milo mcflurry at all.
if u wanna eat milo mcflurry, go home and make ur own. i think the idea of milo mcflurry is a complete flop. they added the milo choc biscuit thingy that u can buy from a normal shop, and it tastes nice own its own. but when u add it to a very sweet ice cream, the combination just turns you off...... haiyah, damn waste money.... should have just stuck with my oreo mcflurry.....

but makes me put on weight also..... alamak.... gotta go run liao.

things aside, today i saw a pretty young boy, around 15 or 16, smoking!! like omg..... cannot stand smokers alr, what more a 15, 16 year-old boy?! super pissed that i "zi, zi, zi" him.... u know, that irritated "zi, zi, zi" sound. and he turned and stared at me.... wah i was quite scared that he would come and beat me up.... he looked so ah bengish....

kids these days.... oh well, better care about myself first before trying to change the world.... haha.... of to study....

my lecturer did something so unbelievable that i had to blog about it now! on friday, which was yesterday, we had our last CBC 112 lecture. modern chem. the main point is not about the lecture. We have a really funny lecturer for this module. after he finished our last lecture yesterday, he started talking about our test which we had last week.

he started saying like how some of us had disappointed him and then he called out this guy's name. i can't rmb that guy's name but all of us were really shocked coz we thought he was gonna embarass that guy in front of us. and then Dr. Sumod asked that guy, "How much do you think you will get for your test?" the guy replied looking surprised, "10." (the paper's upon 10 marks only) but the guy din stop there, "today's my birthday," he said. And we all started feeling sad for him coz he was going to get suaned on his birthday.

Then Dr. Sumod said, ok i shall save you, let's all sing a birthday song for him.... And the lecturer said, "I'm not gonna entertain any more such requests on a large scale." AND so, it turned out that Dr. Sumod actually agreed with some of my course mates to play a trick on that guy. I seriously seriously thought he got 0 for his test paper ok?! haha see how interesting NTU lecturers can get! =p
