I am not feeling particularly upset or disappointed.
But this song spoke to me. I've heard it sung by my friends at kbox, just didn't take a good look at it before. Heard it sung by JJ Lin (so cute!) on 百万大歌星 today, and finally downloaded it!
I love the harmony and rhythm of this song. Some words particularly spoke to me:
毀壞的沙雕如何重來 有裂痕的愛怎麼重蓋
只是一切 結束太快 你說你無法釋懷

Anyway, I was in the canteen having my pathetic one hour break before heading back to lab. Was with good ol neighbour buddy (she stays in Blk 14 of my estate, while I stay in Blk 4) Ann (yes, we even have the same name!). Our topic inevitably landed upon our favourite sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, and the most recent episode. We got really high and I started imitating Howard's mum and Howard. Ann and I laughed non-stop. Well, we weren't the only one. There was this ang moh guy sitting beside Ann who was am-chio-ing at me! Nonetheless, Ann and I continued our laughter and talk. After about 5 minutes, he started asking me, "Are you Singaporean?" And I was like, "Yah." And he said, "You totally don't sound like one with your funny "WHAT THE HELL ". I don't really hear Singaporeans speaking this way."
Turns out, he's an exchange student from San Diego University. And he's mad. He asked us, "Did you guys read the news about a US exchange student who broke a roof and is on the run?" I was like, "No. Why? Is he your friend?" He said, "That's me!" He went for this party at someone's house/club on Friday night, got really drunk, and started hanging from the ceiling/roof of the house/club. After hanging there for a while, he broke the roof/ceiling, fell to the ground, got a little concussion, woke up and started running away! CRAZY ANG MOH I TELL YOU! Now he's really afraid of being arrested.... haha Interesting chat with him.... Whatever response I gave to his questions, he just kept laughing.
Anyway, I was wearing my purple shirt with the Dinosaur and it says vegetarian. When I stood up, getting ready to leave the table, he asked, "Are you vegetarian?" I said, "I just ate chicken rice." And he started laughing like nobody's business!!!!! I think I must look hilarious or sound hilarious. 80% of the entire conversation with him was him laughing at me!!!!
Conclusion: US Ang Mohs are really crazy!
