Wow, in a blink of an eye, I've already been in Troy, NY for ONE WHOLE MONTH!
Time is passing by so quickly and I sort of don't want it to end. Although I've been buried in work and tests and assignments (sorry for the non-updates due to all these), I'm still having a good experience. =)

In a course of this one month, I've met people who:

1. Don't understand my English (and yes, I've to speak SLOWLY for them to get what I'm saying. It's sort of like when we don't understand the English of some people from China or other parts of the world...)
2. Doesn't know where Singpore is (My classmate thought that Singapore was a city in Japan.... and she asked me how's the weather in Japan now)
3. thinks that Singapore has lots of dangerous snakes and coral reefs (and to that I responded: Isn't that in Australia? Apparently, he watched some documentary and that's where he got the idea from)
4. thinks that banning chewing gum is totally weird (Yup, that's my lecturer for one of the modules. He then added that the first thing he did when he went to Malaysia was to buy chewing gum)
5. the whole class doesn't sleep during lectures no matter how boring it is!!!!!! Only the Singaporean exchange students are sleeping (for example, me, totally trying to fight the sleep monster throughout the whole lesson). The most amazing thing is that they don't even look sleepy at all!
6. The professor gives personal attention to students because there's a rather small number of students in class (you hand in your draft of a formal lab report, the professor gives his comments and sends it back to you, and mind you, the comments are not general! It is so specific down to the spelling, and he will underline certain lines and tell you what's wrong with it!)

Things that I've done in this one month (See photos on FB for more details):

1. Gone to Boston and back in two days.
2. Gone to NYC and back in three days.
3. Gone to the "Night at the Museum" Museum (called the American Museum of Natural History) and totally enjoyed it although I only walked through half the museum. It was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I totally love it!
4. Gone to Central Park and took almost a hundred photos!
5. Gone through a snowstorm today! (Well, it's not really as bad as it sounds, but it snowed heavily for a few hours)
6. And because of that snowstorm, I just went out to the backyard to make a snow angel plus snowman plus snowball fight with my housemates!
7. Cooked my own proper dinner. (Never really done that in my entire life other than maggie mee when I was back in Singapore)
8. Do grocery shopping at least once a week.

9. Spent CNY away from home for the first time in my life!
10. Went to Woodbury, a premium shopping outlet place (factory outlets), and spent USD$200+ in a day! :S Never ever spent so much in a day before! Bought so many things at cheap cheap prices! Polo Ralph Lauren, Coach, Levi's, Fossil, Crabtree and Evelyn, etc. etc.!!!!!! OMG!!!!
10. And many many more things plus more to come....

Pardon my laziness to do an in-depth blog entry. Feeling pretty tired and I got to study for a coming exam! =(
Peace out!
