There was this crazy Gramophone sale over the weekends at The Cathay and I decided to just drop by on Sunday to see what I could pick up. When I reached The Cathay, there was this area outside that was selling quite a number of DVDs and VCDs, movies and dramas alike. I thought it was crap man, because in the advertisement on the newspapers, they gave the impression that there was tons of items on sale at super cheap prices. All I picked up from there was a drama serial 食神. Picked it up because it featured 王仁甫, someone whom I used to enjoy watching on TV and the DVD was only $10 with 30 episodes.
What I didn't expect was that there was more than just the area outside. Inside Gramophone itself, there were really tons of items going at great prices! CDs started at $1.50. It was so tempting. I decided to source out some old Westlife CDs. There was Boyzone, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC and any boy band that you could think of from that century, but I just couldn't find any Westlife. Was rather upset! Spent 2 hours in that shop. There were just so many CDs, VCDs, DVDs and even books on sale. However, I only picked up these two: A Classic Disney Volume V CD (nope, haven't heard the entire CD yet) at the price of $9.95 and a 花田少年史 Volume 2 VCD with 12 episodes for only $3.95. Kinda like the 花田少年史. It's an Anime show. For a non-anime fan like me, the show is a real enjoyment! =)

Examination periods are truly truly truly torturous i tell you! Gosh, thank goodness, my exams ended within 8 days this time round.
However, there are still interesting sightings around school during the exams period. Suddenly, you can see many lecturers and professors pulling suitcases and trolleys around school. No, they are not preparing to go overseas or to the supermarket. Those suitcases bear the pain of students, and that is exam papers! Yup, they will pull the trolley suitcases around school and even trolleys in which aunties push to the market. haha what a sight. I even saw one lecturer stuffing exam scripts into the boot of his car. Tons of exam scripts.....
Oh well, at least there's some entertainment around school during exam periods.
There was this chief invigilator who is a bit psycho and cuckoo today when I was doing a paper at 5pm just now. She kept treating us like primary school kids. Firstly, she kept shouting into the mike saying that we should be silent in the exam hall. Then she kept saying, "if your table is not 508, you SHOULD NOT have a dictionary on your table. Do you know you risk expulsion if you talk or bring in unauthorised materials into the exam hall?" Next, after everyone quietened down, she said,"This is more like an exam hall." Everyone broke out in laughter after that! So much for being like an exam hall.... After that, one student was switching off her handphone and she screamed, "What do you think you're doing?!" and she just snatched the handphone over and confiscated it till after the exam. It was crazy man! Oh well.
One more semester down. Just 5 more to go! (That is, if i manage to get through) Hmmmmmmmmmm.......

One in which many have been waiting for.
One in which many hold high hopes for.
One in which many believe can bring change to America.
We can only wait and see what this new black president, Barack Obama can do.
A president with a different coloured skin, voted be the whites and the blacks alike. Is this the REAL end to the civil war? I believe that it is the beginning to an end of discrimination, although it is rather impossible for real discrimination to disappear, as long as there are differences among people.
Is this also a beginning to peace around the world? Many muslims have expressed that they believe Barack Obama understands them.
Some of America's greatest presidents were those that led during America's darkest hours. Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt and Truman.... With the financial crisis at hand, Obama is going to have his chance at becoming a great American president.
We can only wait and see.
- A new beginning
