Actually not really lah. I got a day off to myself today, and I went out for lunch with Godpa. Then shopped around a little with him to help him get some groceries at Fairprice Finest.
Went to get a white t-shirt to try out another heat-transfer design for my business. (Not at Fairprice Finest but at this ulu shop)
Hilz, it's a great price, 3 for $10 if you wanna buy for your group.
What got me pissed off was my group mate, who later called and when I said I haven't tried the second time yet (I already tried the heat-transfer thing once), he said we will just go to the vendors to get the shirt printed.
Idiot, make me waste $3.50 for a t-shirt which I wouldn't use.
To tell you honestly, when I saw the sketch of the designs by our leader's friend (who is in Art, Design and Media school in NTU), I was kinda disappointed. It wasn't something I expected.
But my group leader, who's also from the ADM school, seems to like these designs a lot. I have only one conclusion: These artsy people sort of have a different frequency for we 'normalies' (normal people).
Hard to convince him that the designs are not really sellable as well....
Haiz, now I feel that this last module is a burden to me. To think that when I fly to USA in about 3 months time, I still have to contribute substantially to the group to protect my grades. I really don't know how possible it is.
When I suggested that I can sell the t-shirts when I go over there, my group leader just kept saying that it's not possible.
Wow, such encouragement huh.... =(
Sianz out. There's a meeting tomorrow at 4pm.
Think I might just explode (like I almost did to my leader on the phone just now to convince him that the designs are not sellable)...
Hopefully I don't. Got lots to settle tomorrow.
Business Plan presentation, our upcoming sales etc....
Wish me luck....

Ahhh, it's nice to recall the days when we didn't have these machines called the computers to accompany us, and we would always run around the neighbourhood when we were free.
It especially warms my heart to remember that I would always run downstairs on the night of every Lantern Festival, to the open-air top deck of the multi-storey carpark beside my block. There, we would play with either battery operated lanterns (I remember my favourite lantern was a plane) or the traditional candle lit paper lanterns. Lantern festival was also the only day where we could play with fire/candles openly in front of our parents and I would definitely bring a pack of coloured candles to that carpark to have a little celebration. =)
My house overlooks the carpark but as I look at it today, it is empty. Gone are the days where kids would hang out in that space, running around, playing catching. Gone are the days where our parents would chit chat with neighbours while the kids entertain themselves in their childish demeanour.... Kids would rather stay at home and play with their computers....
My grandma's chinese birthday is on Mid-autumn festival, but she left us 4 years ago. Time really flies by and I'm sure grandma is very very happy now. But till this day, every mid-autumn festival, I would definitely recall the times we spent together (however short it was). We're all very fine grandma. =)
On to a happier topic, my mum decided not to buy any mooncakes this year, as she predicted that no one would eat it and on the day itself (mid-autumn festival), there would suddenly be a huge amount of mooncakes in our house. She was right about the second part. A few days ago, her boss just gave her a pack of four mooncakes from Peach Garden (restaurant in orchid country club and many places). Within the last few days, my brother and my mum again received another two individual mooncakes. And suddenly today, we received two boxes of 4 mooncakes each from our neighbours. One box from Goodwood Park Hotel (OMG, D24 durian snowskin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yummy!!!) and another box from Peony Jade.

I fell in love with one of the individual mooncakes as it was DURIAN flavoured!!!! (Much much better and nicer than the ones I bought last year from the NPCC booth, haha) Heavenly!! Now I got 4 more durian mooncakes to enjoy! Woohoo! But looks like we're gonna be force-fed (am not really a mooncake fan till i ate the durian one) the rest of the mooncakes for the weeks to come.... =)
