Wow wow wow! I survived an entire week without my supervisor.
And I didn't die of boredom!
I'm truly impressed! Truly impressed you know! =)=)
Managed to keep myself busy the entire day all the way till 5+pm today.
Creating inventory list of quarantined chemicals for Cos Lab in the morning. Some of the chemicals are much older than me, even older than my brother. The oldest dates back to 1972!!!!! Scary.
Wrote my logbook (which I am damn happy to complete till week 8!). Did housekeeping in the afternoon. And tried to save money for the lab in the late afternoon, by trying to use scotchtape to stabilise inserts for vials. (just ignore this part if you don't understand).
Haha, I found out something really amazing today. And it really made me feel: Oh Gosh!
I was just chatting with my Cos Lab interns after lunch about me hating people spelling my name wrongly. I like my name the way it is. ANNE! ANNE! ANNE! Some people really love to spell it as Ann, and even after I've told them a few times, they still spell it as Ann....
I received a call at about 4pm. An LO asked me to go up to the advanced instrument room to change my solvent bottle sticker or discard the solutions if I do not want it. When I arrived and looked 2 of the bottles, I realised that someone had spelt my name as 'Annie'.
And guess who's the person who wrote that? I think it is my supervisor.... Yes my own supervisor can't spell my name. Oh! Such a tragedy!!!!
Anyway, after work, I went shopping with 2 of my fellow interns, Adele and Natalie. Really enjoy shopping with them. There's some similarities and differences between our likes and dislikes, and it makes shopping with them really interesting and fun! I also realised that I may be having a fashion shift. I'm starting to look at more dresses now. A little of the girly shoes as well, but not too much yet. The main aim for myself today was to get a bag which is relatively similar to one I saw at Topshop (costs $83 there, but I really love it!)
To my disappointment, I couldn't find one that is close enough to this one. =( Instead, my friends ended up buying stuff for themselves, other than me who went home empty-handed. Oh gosh, should I just buy this bag? With my friend's topshop card, I get a 15% discount and it would be $70.... Darn! Hope one day, I can find a bag just like that!
