I was at Jurong East library today and I was listening to my favourite radio station, radio 1003, while trying to study.... and they decided to talk about people with funny names.

So i tried to be funny and i called in. It got thru. And i said in chinese, my name is Anne Lim.... It's the brand of a certain milk. The 2 DJs laughed like mad. Then the guy DJ, Jian Wen, asked me, "Are you married?"

Of course, I said no. He said, "Oh no..... you'll be left on the shelf....." And I just laughed like mad in the library. Super funny. And he said later,"No lah, maybe a guy who like you will say to you one day: I want to drink Anlene milk." And I just went crazy and laughed again. They also asked me, "When you hear the advertisement on TV, do you think that they are calling you?"

Luckily, I chose to sit at a table facing a pillar so I didn't see anyone staring at me. haha, but halfway thru their show, Jian Wen suddenly said, "Anlene will not be left on the shelf, as long as there's a discount."

Haha, their show super funny.... they like to say lame jokes. It's at 10am to 2pm on weekdays, so if you're free, do tune in to them. Anyway, here's 2 really funny names: Robert Chai (in chinese, lo bo cai, carrot vegetable) and Monica Chng (in chinese, mo ni ka chng, touch your backside).... HAHA!! totally peng.

On Wednesday, as usual, I was listening to Radio 1003 at home, while trying to study once again. They have been giving away lots of movie tickets, cash, prizes, and mini-concert tickets organised by them. I've been trying my luck, and I managed to receive two tickets to Wu JiaHao's mini-concert. Probably you've never heard of him, neither have I, but he's the guy who sang 'zi lang zi pua' in hokkien ('yi ren yi ban' in chinese).... And I'm going with dear Ah Rui on Monday! =)

They also have this Radio version of this story called Dong Jing Tie Ta zhi Lao Ma Yu Wo (Tokyo Towers, Mum and I) and it's super touching. It's about a boy, who have neglected his mum for many years, before he realised it. Really teaches us not to take things for granted and people for granted.
